This is super fun and easy leather bracelet DIY tutorial. This bracelet is a great present if you're short of cash or you can make a bunch of those for yourself, which will assure your looking absolutely cool this summer. There is that punk-rock vibe to it and it looks great on girls and boys alike.

You will need:

Old leather belt or any old piece of leather, just make sure it is soft enough to braid


Super sharp scalpel or tailoring scissors


Thin rope about three pieces about 5 cm long


To make the bracelet:

Cut the strip of leather about 23cm long and 3cm wide, If you are American one inch is 2.4 cm
Cut the strip lengthwise from about 1.5 cm from the top and all the way through

Now braid the leather, make sure it stays flat
If you don't know how to braid, it goes left over the middle,right over the middle and all the way till the end or look at this video about braiding hair, it is the same system

Now, braid three pieces of thin rope (about 5cm) tie knots on both ends
of the braid braid
Tie the rope braid over the end of the leather braid

Cut the small triangular hole on the other side of the leather braid

Now one of the knots on the rope braid is the closing pin (so clever)

Be proud of yourself
If you are making it as a present, you can make a nice box or a gift bag
Color the box or a gift bag and put some ribbons on it for extra effect.
